Whether this is your first winter here in Idaho or you’ve lived here your whole life, you can never be too prepared. Being cooped up for a long winter with active young kids can make the sanest mother go crazy! We put together this list so you can have activities to get you out of the house all winter long. All of these activities are toddler-friendly, but even babies and older kids will enjoy most of them! Please call ahead before visiting these locations to check updated times as they change continuously.
Library Story Time-Idaho Falls
The Idaho Falls Public Library has three different story time groups: Book Babies for 2 and under, Story Time for preschool ages, and Family story time for the whole family. Most story times are mid-morning, and there is usually a family story time in the afternoon. The times are regularly posted for the week on the IFPL Children’s Programs Facebook group and on their website calendar.
Tautphaus Park Zoo Tots-Idaho Falls
The Idaho Falls Zoo holds a monthly class for ages 2-5. The 45 minute class includes crafts, games, songs, stories, and animals! Cost: $12 for one child/adult pair, regular zoo admission for additional siblings and adults.

Rec Center Indoor Playtime-Idaho Falls

Kids Town–Idaho Falls
Kids Town is a toddler favorite! They have a racetrack to ride cars on, a pretend play town, slides, and other fun educational activities. You can also bring snacks and meals to enjoy. Kids Town has daily deals that make it affordable to enjoy everything they offer! Open Monday-Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm. Cost: Under 1 FREE, 1 and 2 $6, 3-12 $8. Yearly memberships available (these would make a great Christmas or birthday present that lasts all year long!).

Blast Off-Idaho Falls
Blast Off has two indoor playgrounds, one of which is specifically for smaller children under 7. There are dress up and building rooms, a playground, and other activities! Open Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-8:00pm. Cost: $6 per child for an hour pass or $10 per child for a 2 hour session. Adult admission included.

Leo’s Place Playland-Idaho Falls
The playland at Leo’s Place is a giant jungle gym that is great for older toddlers to get their energy out! They also have a fun arcade. Admission is less expensive with a food purchase over $2! Call before your visit for updated hours and pricing.

iJump-Idaho Falls
iJump is a must for the Idaho Falls area. The trampoline park also has a smaller trampoline section and ball pit for smaller jumpers. They even have Wee Jump time specifically for little ones under 48 inches! Monday-Saturday: 10am-8pm, Sundays: 11am-6pm. Cost: 18 months and under, free with a paying adult. 7 years and younger, $7/hour. 8+, $11 for first hour.

ARTitorium on Broadway-Idaho Falls
The ARTitorium provides a fun experience for kids of all ages. Even young toddlers will have fun with arts and crafts, interactive exhibits, and the indoor slide. Cost: Under 3 years, free. 4 years and up, $5.

The Little Gym-Idaho Falls
The Little Gym is newer to the Idaho Falls area and offers classes for all ages and interests including dance, sports, beginning gymnastics, and parent/child classes for younger toddlers and babies 4 months and up. There are classes available to fit any schedule. Members also have free access to gymnastics practice and building block times.

East Idaho Aquarium-Idaho Falls
The aquarium is fascinating for toddlers and party for their senses. They have several interactive exhibits and chances to feed the fish and birds! Hours are Monday through Saturday 11:00am-8:00pm and Sunday 1:00-6:00pm. Cost: under 3, free. Ages 3-12, $9. 13+, $12. Weekly, seasonal, and yearly passes are also available!

Gravity Factory-Rexburg
Popular with all ages, this trampoline park also has special times for toddlers. “Mommy Mornings” are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00am-1:00pm. Cost:$8 plus a one time purchase of socks for $3 per individual. Gravity Factory has something for everyone including a “Ninja Warrior” course, jousting area, trampoline basketball, trapezes, and more. It’s a great way to spend a snowy morning and burn some energy before naptime!

Offering fun for the entire family. The park provides 11,000 square feet of jumping surfaces, includes 4,000 square feet of open jump area, 3 lanes of trick-style trampolines into an airbag, Jr. Jumper’s zone, 2 dodgeballs courts and 2 basketball slam dunk lanes.

The Madison Library offers varied story and activity times for children of all ages. With story time programs for children 0-5 and craft activities for 6-11 year olds, and reading challenges for all ages; they have something for everyone. Outer Limits Fun Zone-Pocatello
Outer Limits Fun Zone offers a Play Palace Soft-Play area for ages 8 and younger, where they can climb and let their imaginations run wild. In this area there are also a variety of token-operated rides. The Play Palace includes tree houses, trampolines, and more. Socks must be worn and the area is constantly disinfected.
