East Idaho Moms – this one is for you!  We are thrilled to be a resource FOR East Idaho Moms BY East Idaho Moms.  Mom life is fast-paced, a little crazy, and ever-changing. We can’t spend hours a day looking for the best family-friendly restaurants or deciding which park has a toddler swing and bike path for your big kid.  We need a “one-stop shop” that will give us the run-down for the best preschools in town and let us connect with other moms at the same time. THIS is why we are here!

Motherhood can be scary, and it shouldn’t be done alone!!  Our goal is to inform and connect moms through real-life stories, via social media, and face to face at our events. 

 We are real moms.  We are not experts.  

We are a diverse team of moms that come from all stages of motherhood.  Our personal blog posts are simply experiences, thoughts, and opinions from REAL moms saying it like it is.

Our team, like the moms of East Idaho, come from all parenting styles, from all parts of the country (and world), from all religions, from all races and ethnicities.  We respect all moms and their ways of surviving and thriving in this season of life.

Our goal and mission are to connect East Idaho moms to information and a variety of parenting perspectives unique to our area.  We will strive to bring a positive voice to our community and to motherhood.

    Ellie is a former preschool teacher turned mom who originally hails from Eastern Washington. After going to University of Idaho (Go Vandals!) and then meeting the nerd of her dreams, she welcomed a little girl into the world and then moved to Idaho Falls in 2021. Now, as a proud mama to two girls, Ellie spends her days working on fiction novels and  wrangling her daughters and chickens!

    Kayla has lived in Southeast Idaho all her life, growing up in Shelley, going to school in Rexburg, and now living in Idaho Falls. She is married and mom to a sweet little boy. She has a degree in child development and loves working with children, but especially loves being home with her own child. She loves spending time reading, running, sewing, and laughing. Her family loves spending their summers in the mountains camping and going on rides in their side by side. Ever since having her little boy she is in love with talking about birth and motherhood and loves hearing other women's stories.

    Kimberly tries to provide others safety to live authentically.  Five children (plus fur baby Wilbur) bring more chaos and love than one heart can handle. She would not trade her role as mom for the world. Recently, despite great fear, she began pursuing a master’s degree. Kimberly loves learning and teaching.  She loves drives to the Tetons, walking with friends, watching for rays of light shining through dark clouds, and when she finds the time, reading (except millions of page of textbooks). But… let’s be honest her world is the epitome of mayhem. A world she wholeheartedly loves.

  • Rebecca Harkness
    Rebecca is 36 years old and lives in Roberts. Rebecca is a mother, wife, college student, artist, photographer, and she also works for the Idaho Falls Arts Council at ARTitorium on Broadway. Rebecca is originally from California but has lived in Southeast Idaho for 15 years now. Her passions involve anything that revolves around creativity; fiber media, painting, drawing, sculpting, using a camera etc. Rebecca is also an avid book nerd and loves to read in her spare time. Above all, Rebecca is a dedicated mother and wife who loves her family.

  • Valerie Illguth
    Valerie was born and raised in Utah, and then spent several years in the south while her husband was in the Army. But she's called Idaho home since 2017. She's bought a house in Twin Falls and recently renewed her Idaho Drivers License for 8 years so she's committed to staying in the state.
    Valerie has four children. Twin girls who are ten, an eight year old boy, and a 7 year old girl. Yes they are very close in age. No that was not planned.
