East Idaho Moms is excited to feature Idaho Falls Area Humanitarian Center as our nonprofit for December 2022. Eastern Idaho is fortunate to have a wealth of nonprofit and service organizations. By highlighting some of these groups, we hope to encourage moms and families to get involved and learn about all that our wonderful community has to offer.
The Idaho Falls Area Humanitarian Center located at 1415 Northgate Mile in Idaho Falls, Idaho, is a 501c3 that was established in January 2010. It began through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but is currently ran by a Board of Directors which is made of city leaders and Interfaith members of the Southeast Idaho community. The Idaho Falls Area Humanitarian Center 
is a self-sufficient organization which assists multiple nonprofit organizations in the community, relying on members of the community to help make things like newborn kits, jump ropes, hygiene kits and blankets.
Youth, ages twelve and older, can volunteer at the center every 1st and 3rd Tuesday between 6:30 and 8:30 PM. Families can reserve a time to volunteer or can take kits to assemble at home by contacting Doug Owen at 208-681-0083. Our older generation can also volunteer to help with items at the center.
