East Idaho Moms is excited to feature Bikers Against Bullies USA – Idaho Falls Chapter as our nonprofit for May 2021. Eastern Idaho is fortunate to have a wealth of nonprofit and service organizations. By highlighting some of these groups, we hope to encourage moms and families to get involved and learn about all that our wonderful community has to offer.

Jason (Great) White, Idaho Falls Chapter Liaison, describes Bikers Against Bullies USA (BAB USA), as “a not-for-profit group created by bikers, but not limited to bikers, that is committed to creating awareness and educating both children and adults on the benefits of living in a society of respect for each other combined with self-empowerment.”  They “strive to create a society in which (our) mutual respect will create a new role model for others, and through (our) actions enable others to have the confidence to emulate this behavior and reiterate its positive message to others.”

BAB USA-Idaho Falls teams up with multiple services and agencies to offer events in and around Idaho Falls throughout the year. Heroes Against Bullies is a Halloween event held in collaboration with the Bonneville Youth Development Center; a Halloween event also occurs in Jefferson County. The organization works with Clandestine Kringle to provide Christmas dinner, Santa, a Christmas tree and presents for the children for five families in need. Leathers and Bling, a motorcycle run, is held in cooperation with Children’s Advocacy Services. Grand Teton Harley, a local Harley dealership, teams up with BAB USA-Idaho Falls to provide stuffed animals for kids in emergency response vehicles and at local hospitals. BAB USA-Idaho Falls also funds counseling services, provided by Human Dynamics, for children in families that are unable to afford the service. BAB USA-Idaho Falls also hosts empowerment rides and participates in assemblies at local schools to “boost kids up.”

BAB USA-Idaho Falls is current planning an event to fund items like Buddy Benches. Details on this will be available soon.

“We strive to impact the community at a positive level to help kids thrive. We believe one child being lost to suicide is too many and work towards making the next generation better. We work with the community to help empower children, letting them know it is ok to be different and to respect others’ diversity as well.” Jason (Great) White
