You guys, this cake. YUMMY. Or “NOMMY” as my almost three-year-old Dottie girl says it. It’s a cake that we will make again and again. From the addictive caramel icing that will leave you licking any and all of the leftovers from the saucepan to the crazy crunchy popcorn, this cake just screams “EAT ME.” Salt lays on top for an added kick! The warm caramel flavor is perfect for the fall chill that sets in around this time of year. We’re calling it the C Cake at our house because it’s a caramel coated, crunchy “crack” cake! Normally I am a homemade cake baker through and through but since I was given the chance to take the Food Club brand for a whirl it led me to try their yellow cake mix. The verdict? The light, soft, delicious yellow cake is so insanely simple and inexpensive. I save on money and time! WINNING. And it tastes great! Also, since it’s so easy to whip up, my almost-three-year-old can help dump all the goods into our stand up mixer. She’s happy, I’m happy, our tummies are happy, we’re all happy. We also tried using their dark brown and granulated sugars for the caramel icing and popcorn. They were absolutely lovely to work with! I, without a doubt, will be keeping my eye out for the Food Club brand. The quality and price can’t be beat! Kidding, some Food Club products can be “beat” with beaters which is just the way we like it over here!
